E. Terry & Sons Pillar and Scroll Clock


Eli Terry & Sons Mahogany Pillar and Sroll Shelf Clock, Plymouth, Connecticut, c. 1825. Scroll top case, hand painted dial with raised gilt and center flowers, reverse painted glass tablet, label “Patent Clock, Invented by Eli Terry, Made and Sol at Plymouth, Connecticut by E. Terry & Sons”. (Some loss to back of clock). Has hand written note with clock showing ownership history from 1944. Wooden works, weight driven, 30 hour, pendulum shelf clock. Measures approx. 29″ tall x 17″ wide x 4 1/2″ deep.
